8 REASONS WHY PEOPLE WHO READ A LOT ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Our elders always say that we have to read books because its helpful and that will help us in our future. Ever thought why successful people always read books!!!While simply being an avid reader does not ensure success, successful people are assuredly avid readers. You can develop that habit too. If you want to know some tips to read efficiently then click here.

REASONS YOU SHOULD KNOW.

1) They have perspective.
In addition to gaining perspective, readers are reflective about what they have read. While gaining perspective allows a person to see from the other side of the fence, being reflective allows them the opportunity to understand how they can be productive with their new-found perspective. Successful people see reading not as the simple act of staring at words on a page. They understand the profound effect that consuming a text can have on the mind, and how books can change a person’s life.

2) They have increased memory.
Readers already know what our brain is capable of, and when you read continuously or have habit it help us to remember the things in easy way. When this skill of yours is well developed it will help you a lot, the more you read and learn, the easier it becomes to retain information. Successful people don’t prescribe to Homer Simpson’s belief that learning something new pushes something old out. They simply continue to learn, and commit an incredible expanse of knowledge to memory, sometimes without even realising it.

3) They have increased focus.
Successful people are more focused on their task. If you want to develop this skill then you have read 5 pages daily (Start with 3-5 pages and then increase with your capacity). Reading is never the singular process.

4) They set goals
Along with focus, they set goals for themselves for any other they have to do, either it be small or big. Whether reading any book till specific topic or shifting to new task, they always set goals. Successful people set goals for just about every moment of their life, and continue working toward the goal until they surpass it.

5) They have incredible writing and speaking skills
Whenever you see successful people around, you will always notice that they have incredible writing and speaking skills. They always have capacity to prove their point to public. They draw inspiration from their role model, and use this inspiration to further their cause.

6) They read to relax
Everyone has to tune out of world every now and then, but everyone do it differently. But this doesn’t mean that everyone turn their minds off completely. Reading just about anything is more good for us than night out or party at friend (But sometime you have to do that too !!) Successful people always read magazine or any other graphic novel to relax. Going to party or wasting time next time better you think.

7) They are reflective
In addition to gaining perspective, readers are reflective about what they have read. While gaining perspective allows a person to see from the other side of the fence, being reflective allows them the opportunity to understand how they can be productive with their new-found perspective. Successful people see reading not as the simple act of staring at words on a page. They understand the profound effect that consuming a text can have on the mind, and how books can change a person’s life.

8) They spend time wisely
They might have 20- 30 minutes before going somewhere. Rather saying its just 20 they think its enough to read some pages and then they step out. Readers realise that 5 wasted minutes every day over the course of a year is more than an entire 24 hours wasted that could have been spent reading.
